Fredrick Jack Omondi serves as the Director of Standards & Quality Assurance at the Tourism Regulatory Authority (TRA) of Kenya. In this pivotal role, he leads the development and enforcement of national service standards for hospitality and tourism enterprises, including the implementation of the Eco-Rating and grading systems that regulate hotels, lodges, and catering services.
He played a key role in developing TRA’s eighteen national classification benchmarks and overseeing country-wide accreditation efforts. By mid-2025, these initiatives had led to the registration and grading of over 33,000 tourism enterprises, including hundreds of gold, silver, and bronze awardees under the East Africa classification system
