Victor M. Shitakha serves as the Chairman of the Kenya Coast Tourism Association (KCTA) and is a board member of the Kenya Tourism Board (KTB), roles through which he actively shapes coastal tourism policy and national destination development strategies. With more than 20 years in senior hotel management, Victor is a seasoned general manager whose executive leadership spans both public and private hospitality operations.
As KCTA Chair, Victor advocates for reforms that unlock coastal tourism’s investment potential—such as open-skies agreements, infrastructure upgrades, and ecosystem conservation—to position Kenya’s coastal belt competitively alongside premier regional destinations like Zanzibar and Mauritius.
